Privacy policy
Agenteev answers phone calls on behalf of service businesses. That means we handle information about people who call those businesses, as well as information about the businesses themselves. This policy explains what we collect in each case, who we share it with, and how long we keep it.
1Who we are
Kirin Labs LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as Agenteev ("Agenteev," "we," "us"), 12751 Millennium NB322, Los Angeles, CA 90094. Contact privacy@agenteev.com for anything in this policy.
2Two different roles
We handle personal information in two capacities, and your rights differ depending on which applies.
- As a business, for our own purposes. Information about visitors to this website and about the businesses that hire us or consider hiring us. We decide how this is used.
- As a service provider, on behalf of a client business. Information about people who call a client business and are answered by our assistant. The client business decides how that information is used. We process it only to deliver the service they contracted for and under our agreement with them. If you called a business and want your information deleted, that business is the right place to start, though you can also contact us and we will pass the request along and act on it.
3Calls, transcription, and consent
Calls are handled by an automated assistant and converted to text.
When you call a business that uses Agenteev and the call is not picked up by a person, it is answered by an automated voice assistant. The assistant discloses this at the start of the call. The audio is processed in real time and converted into a written transcript. California is an all-party consent state, so if you do not want the call transcribed, say so and the assistant will transfer you or take a message. You can also hang up and the business will still see a missed call.
We do not retain call audio. Audio is processed to generate the transcript and is not stored by us afterward.
4What we collect
From people who call a client business
- Your phone number, and your name if you give it
- The service address or neighborhood you describe
- What you say about the problem you need solved, and how urgently
- A written transcript of the call, its date, time, and duration
The assistant asks only what a receptionist would ask. Do not give it payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or health information. If you do, we remove it when we find it.
From client businesses and prospective clients
- Business name, address, service area, hours, and the services you offer
- Owner or staff name, email, and the mobile number that receives lead notifications
- Billing contact and payment status. Card details go directly to our payment processor and we never see or store the full number
From visitors to this website
- Standard server log data: IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps
- Anything you type into a contact form or send us by email
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or session-replay tools on this site.
From calls to our demo line
The demo number published on this site is answered by the same kind of assistant, with the same disclosure. Calls to it are transcribed so we can improve the service. Do not use the demo line to discuss anything real or sensitive.
5How we use it
- To answer calls, capture what the caller needs, and deliver that summary to the business by text message
- To send the caller a single confirmation message, as described in our Messaging Terms
- To produce the monthly report we give each client business
- To monitor whether the system is working, including test calls to verify that call forwarding is still configured correctly
- To improve the accuracy of the assistant, using transcripts from our own demo line and from client accounts where the client has agreed to it
- To bill client businesses and provide support
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our agreements
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use caller information to market anything to callers.
6Who we share it with
We use a small number of vendors to run the service. Each is bound by contract to use the information only to provide their service to us.
| Vendor | What it does | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Retell AI | Runs the voice assistant and produces transcripts | Call audio in real time, transcripts |
| Twilio | Provides phone numbers and sends text messages | Phone numbers, call metadata, message contents |
| n8n / Make | Moves the call summary from the assistant to the notification text | Lead summary contents |
| Model providers used by Retell | Speech recognition, language understanding, speech synthesis | Call audio and text during processing |
| Payment processor | Client billing | Client billing details only. No caller information |
We also share information with the client business whose line was called, which is the entire point of the service. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights and safety of people involved. If the business is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
7How long we keep it
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Call audio | Not retained. Processed in real time and discarded |
| Call transcripts | 90 days, then deleted |
| Lead summaries and call metadata | 24 months, to build the monthly reports and year-over-year comparisons |
| Text message records | 18 months |
| Opt-out records | Kept indefinitely, because we have to know not to message you |
| Client business records | For the life of the account plus 7 years for tax and contract purposes |
| Website server logs | 30 days |
8Security
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to people who need it to run the service, protected by multi-factor authentication. Vendors are reviewed before we use them and are contractually restricted in what they may do with the information. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise, but security is the founder's professional background and it is treated accordingly.
9California privacy rights
Agenteev does not currently meet the thresholds that make a company a "business" under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we will say so plainly rather than imply otherwise. We honor the following requests regardless.
- Know. Ask what personal information we hold about you and where it came from.
- Delete. Ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep, such as opt-out lists and tax records.
- Correct. Ask us to fix information that is wrong.
- Opt out of sale or sharing. Not applicable. We do neither.
- Non-discrimination. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these.
Email privacy@agenteev.com. We will verify your identity, usually by confirming control of the phone number involved, and respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission.
If your information came to us through a client business, we will act on your request and also tell that business, since they hold the same information independently.
10Children
This service is for businesses and their customers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If a child's information reaches us through a call, contact us and we will delete it.
11Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect, and client businesses will be notified directly.
